The leadership consultants are a group
of students who have received advanced training in
leadership and group development. As a group, we believe
that the student organization experience is a stepping
stone for individuals, as active members of the university,
to become functional and aware leaders in their future
career, community, and family lives.
OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND USE
PEER LEADERSHIP
BY HELPING GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND TEAMS
EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY ACHIEVE THEIR DESIRED GOALS.

We help student organizations by:
- Planning/facilitating individually designed workshops
and retreats.
- Mentoring, counseling, consulting with student
groups, organizations, and teams.
- Teaching relevant organizational and developmental
concepts and skills in order to improve organization
effectiveness and to enable organizations to develop
and define group mission, values, and goals.
- Attending the monthly President's Meetings and
providing relevant, timely information about effective/efficient
organizations.
About our services:
- Groups can be helped with anything from a long
meeting (2-3 hours) to a two-day, overnight retreat-it
depends on the group and what the members want to
accomplish.
- All arrangements are made by and paid for by the
SOLC. Services are free to groups.
- It takes at least 3 weeks to plan a retreat, and
our nights and weekends fill up quickly, so please
contact us as early as you can.
- You don't have to be a recognized student group
to use our services, any group, club, or team can
work with us.
- Once you have contacted us, a team of SOLC will
be formed an they will work individually with a representative
from each group in order to identify the services
desired. Together, we will identify the goals and
objectives to be incorporated in the workshop or
retreat.
- Each group has its own specific needs and desired
areas of improvement and we will do our best to design
programs that are suitable for the specific group.
As a result, each organization will have a unique
experience when working with the Student Organization
Leadership Consultants.
