The Society of Success and Leadership

Our Mission

To help you create the life you desire by giving you the support, motivation, and tools to achieve your goals.

Speaker Series

Each month a live satellite broadcast is held in Chafee Social Science Center. The live monthly seminars are traditionally held on Tuesday evenings. Upon arrival the students receive an informational handout created by the speaker. During the broadcast students have the opportunity to call in or text message the speaker with questions.

Session Goals and Learning Outcomes

Students taking ownership
The Society helps empower students to take ownership of the series. Student Success Network teams are formed by the students. Each network team elects a team leader who helps to facilitate discussions on accountability, goal setting and commitment to the specific monthly topics.

Student Success Networking Teams meet right after the presentations and a second time for follow up on the individual speaker topics. Students are required to reflect on their individual perspectives on the topics by using an on line reflection journal at the Society of Success and Leadership website.

The Society teaches students how to make connections and then enters them into a network where they are able to interact with other like-minded students across the United States. The network consists of students and alumni as well as career professionals dedicated to helping individuals achieve their future dream careers. This Success Networking Team concept is used by many of the most successful people worldwide.

Continued motivation
To empower students to follow through with positive actions, they need consistent motivation rather than a one-time lecture. The continuity of the program was designed to keep students motivated long-term and help them take continued action toward improving their personal growth and well-being. The speaker series is tied together with unlimited support services from the Society office so that students improve the quality of their lives.

To compliment the presentations, members have access to these privileges:

  • Chat times online with the presenters
  • Access to success coaches online
