Tina was born and raised in Rhode Island. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island in 2001. She spent a year after graduation with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Bridgeport, CT working with high school leadership programs. It was because of this experience that she decided to continue working with young people. In the tradition of the Jesuit Volunteers, she was “Ruined for Life” (the motto) through her transition from an accountant to a youth developer.

For the past 3 years, she has worked for an experiential education organization in Worcester, MA called Dynamy. As an advisor for Dynamy, she mentored youth from the ages of 13 - 22 through internships, wilderness challenges and leadership development. In 2005, she spent six months in Santa Rosa, CA opening a 2nd site of Dynamy and exploring vineyards, redwood forests and the northern California coast.

Upon returning to the east coast, she decided to apply for the College Student Personnel program at URI to further her education in youth development. In the fall of 2006, she started at URI and is planning to graduate in May 2008. Upon graduation she wants to pursue a career in First Year Experience Programs.

She is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and trained in wilderness first aid and to lead youth on summer hiking and winter snowshoeing trips.
